Under no circumstances should you buy any Origin product from a non-approved reseller source. You should only buy from an accredited Origin Approved Reseller.
All Origin Approved Resellers have gone through a selection process which has demonstrated their eligibility and suitability to be a reseller in terms of their size, outlook and the professionalism of their organisation in general and customer service in particular.
What happens if an Origin product is bought from a non-approved reseller?
If an Origin product is bought from a non approved source, the purchaser WILL NOT be eligible to receive any customer support from Origin Technologies Limited post-purchase; furthermore, the product will only be covered by a 28 day warranty, compared with the usual two year warranty on products bought from Origin Approved Reseller.
Please note that the Origin Approved Reseller system was introduced in April 2004; units bought prior to this date carry the usual status, i.e. customer support will be provided by Origin Technologies and all products carry a two year warranty.
